HOW DOES A COCK RING WORK?

Penis Rings, Pleasure Rings, C-Rings, Love Rings, Couples Ring - these are all the different names for a cock ring but they all do the same basic thing.

Cock rings fit around the base of the penis, or the penis and testicles, to let the blood flow into the penis and slow down the blood flowing out. That temporarily trapped blood is what allows you to have a longer, firmer erection that can last for an extended period of time.

ARE COCK RINGS SAFE?

Are cock rings safe? You bet. Just make sure you follow some simple rules:

  • Never wear a cock ring that feels uncomfortable when you first put it on
  • If a cock ring pinches or gives pain, take it off immediately
  • If there is any discomfort, discoloration, dramatic swelling, numbness, or coldness – take it off immediately
  • Never wear a cock ring longer than 20-30 minutes
  • DO NOT FALL ASLEEP WITH YOUR COCK RING ON
  • Keep lubricant nearby to help take off the ring if necessary
  • Don’t use a cock ring with numbing creams because this may lessen your awareness of how your penis is feeling

HOW DO I FIND THE PERFECT COCK RING?

Cock rings come in different forms, sizes, and with varying additional features. What your desires are would be the basis in finding the perfect fit. Here are some good guidelines to follow for the first time cock ring shopper

  • A simple, stretchy ring is usually a good first time purchase because you can wear it around the shaft alone or shaft and testicles
  • A vibrating ring is great if you are using it with a partner, to add extra stimulation for your partner.
  • A snap on ring is perfect for anybody who is a nervous first time user because it is a quick release
  • Loop rings (that look like a lasso) are completely adjustable and a good starting point for experimenting with looping around the penis and testicles.

HOW DO I PUT ON A COCK RING?

Most cock rings are extremely stretchy and easy to put on. We advise starting with a stretchy ring rather than metal or aluminum, until you are more experienced.

AROUND THE PENIS SHAFT ALONE

  • Stretchy rings can go on a flaccid, semi-erect, or erect shaft
  • Apply some lubricant to the inner rim of the ring
  • Ease the ring gently down the shaft with 2 fingers

PRO TIP: Trim your pubic hair at the base of your shaft to avoid it getting caught in or tugged by the ring

AROUND THE SHAFT AND TESTICLES

  • The shaft should be flaccid or barely semi-erect
  • Apply lubricant to the inner ring or rings
  • Ease each testicle into the ring so it encircles the scrotum
  • Gently fold the penis into the ring as well

PRO TIP: If this method feels uncomfortable to you, try placing the shaft in first, then the testicles.
